Your Treasurer's office has been working diligently for the taxpayers of Gallatin County. We still answer the phone, and are getting back to e-mails as quickly as possible. As your local contact at the Court house, we have been updating processes, such as notice by e-mail or text as a reminder your tax payment is coming due. Our I-tax website is a great resource for current information, tax payment/payoff, and payment history for your property. Our website has been recently reviewed/updated we have links to the Department of Revenue for tax relief program forms, we have address change forms online, and updates about our office.

As your County Treasurer I am privileged to work with your Motor Vehicle Department. This is a great group of people. They have been able to adapt to a huge software change from the Department of Justice. When the D.O.J. let us know we will be helping train and implement a new software program (CARS,) and we had several of our group interested in the process. Wow what a change this has made in Motor Vehicle. Our processing time is shorter than ever before. This includes processing paper work before you even make it to the office. CARS has changed the way we identify the vehicles. All the vehicles are now set up on your VIN number, which saves both you and our office time and effort. Don't forget the implementation of online dealership title and registration, come to the website and check it out.

We still have issues with being short handed sometimes, but keep the information desk open for your conveyance. One full time person is answering phone questions and handling all email requests from title work to help dealerships, and LLC customer.

During my first term we expanded and updated the Belgrade office and they are moving as fast as the downtown office. Our team is still smiling and will help all of you as quickly as possible.
